Unit 1 & 2
In Unit 1 & 2 you will:
- Consider the uses of land in Australia as a source of food and fibre
- Describe trends and movements in Australian agriculture and horticulture
- Justify selection of plants and animals for agricultural and/or horticultural practices
- Explain challenges and issues in plant production and analyse proposed solutions
- Explain basic animal genetics
- Analyse conditions for agricultural and/or horticultural practices through practical tasks
Unit 3 & 4
In Unit 3 & 4 you will:
- Discuss the role of technology innovation in agricultural and horticultural industries
- Explain current research into challenges faced by Australia’s food industries
