Subject Overview
Business Management examines the ways businesses manage resources to achieve objectives. This subject follows the process from the initial idea for a business concept, to planning and establishing a business, through to the day-to-day management of a business. Business Management helps you acquire the key skills and knowledge required to pursue further business commerce related studies.
Unit 1 & 2
In Unit 1 & 2 you will:

- Explore affecting business planning/decision making
- Learn about legal and financial requirements when establishing a business
- Explore marketing strategies
- Learn about staffing a business
Unit 3 & 4
In Unit 3 & 4 you will:
- Understand the key characteristics of business, for example; stakeholders’ interests, management styles and corporate culture
- Strategies to manage and motivate employees
