VCE Applied Computing – Software Development

Subject Overview

VCE Software Development is the study of producing software solutions and the proper analysis, design and development of these solutions and how to evaluate them. Software Development involves a School Assessed Task (SAT); a problem or opportunity of the student’s choice that spans approximately 12 weeks that students produce a solution for. There is one Year 11 subject (Applied Computing) and two Year 12 subjects (Data Analytics and Software Development). Applied Computing in Year 11 introduces and prepares students for both Year 12 subjects. Students can do both Data Analytics and Software Development in Year 12.
